In the section Kárany - Lysá n. L. we recommend using the alternative right bank EuroVelo 4 route in wet weather. Between Velký Osek and Kolín we recommend using the built cycle path (EuroVelo 4) through Veltruby in wet weather.
From Káraný through Čelákovice and Nymburk to Poděbrady you can also use the left bank route of the Elbe Trail, marked 2A.
