As part of road resurfacing works, Pillnitzer Landstraße in the Altwachwitz area will be closed during the summer holidays in Saxony (4 July–14 August). As the Elbe Cycle Route runs along the road in this section (on the right bank of the Elbe), it will also be affected.
Due to the road network and the topography, a diversion is not practical for cyclists. For this short section, cyclists will be directed through the construction site as pedestrians (i.e. pushing their bikes).
