Ústí nad Labem, the modern metropolis of the region of the same name with nearly 92,000 inhabitants, lies at the confluence of the Bílina and the Elbe — directly on the Elbe Cycle Route. Take your time and discover its charm.
Stroll through the city center, take the cable car to the Větruše hilltop complex, where an observation tower, a natural and mirror maze, a playground, and sports facilities await you. Do not forget to visit the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with its leaning tower.
On the opposite bank of the Elbe, in the Střekov district, stands a Gothic castle offering a beautiful view of the Elbe Valley. You can also enjoy the river from the deck of a sightseeing boat.
For more information about the city and the Elbe Cycle Route, stop by the city’s Cycling Centre located directly at the main railway station. From here you can enjoy a great view of the modern Mariánský Bridge, one of the landmarks of the regional capital.
Just a few kilometres from the city, near Chabařovice, lies Lake Milada — a picturesque body of water ideal for relaxation and water activities.
